Had a 2001 v6 coupe. All factory AC parts.
Bought a 2001 v6 sedan. Needed compressor, drier, condenser, etc.

Bought a compressor from O’reillys and a compressor from RockAuto. Was told by the shop that neither would work due to some special manifold needed on the compressor that wasn’t on the aftermarket ones.
Ended up robbing the OEM compressor off the coupe.

Anybody else run into this issue? Buying an aftermarket compressor to replace the OEM component and it wouldn’t work?

Bumping this as I’m facing this issue again, most likely.

The 25 year old compressor from my coupe finally crapped out and I’m gonna need a new one. Due to the issues I had with Oreilly’s and RockAuto both last time, I’m a little weary getting a compressor from them. I *REALLY* don’t wanna get one directly from Honda.

Has anyone ran into this before?

I would find a Denso unit - Interchange #471-1256.

I would not use one from Four Seasons. We've had nothing but problems with them at my work. The factory one is still available, but at nearly $1k, not exactly cost efficient.
