adding 6th gear

Alright I searched and searched but I couldn't find anything, so if this has been discussed before, I'm sorry.

And no, I'm not talking about doing a 6spd swap on a V6, I'm talking about adding 6th gear to an F23.

Is it possible to add 6th gear to a 5spd 6th gen accord?

A couple weeks after I started working at the honda dealership, one of the techs brought in his friend's element as a side job, ripped the tranny out, and threw in a 6th gear. He said the kit was only like 250 bucks, and that anything with a K series motor has a spot to throw a 6th gear in. No one was 100% sure if it could be done with the F series motors tho, so I figured I'd see if anyone on here had any clue about it. I'm guessing it's not possible since I haven't been able to find the kit for it, but if it is, please let me know.

pretty sure you cant. since theres not even a 6 speed trans that would mount to the car. i dont even think there were any 6 speed i4's before the k motors.

if you want a 6 speed, j32+tranny swap it, haha.

why would there even be a spot for a 6th gear in a transmission that never had a 6 speed option?

i can understand with the whole K series thing, since they could just put another cog in there and not have to make a whole different housing...kinda like all our cars come with 2 indents in the rear bumper even with one muffler...that type of ****.
