as i was going to the store tonight all of the sudden the dash lights came on.. it says all doors are open and e brake is on and charging light is on.. while im driving.. what could this be.. alternator and battery are only 1 1/2 years old.. Any help please!!!!!!

Sounds like an alternator to me.

It's the alternator. Can you hear a whining noise from the alternator? If not, it will soon follow.

yep wen this happened it was my alternator...it wasnt charging my battery power...the dash thing happened wen i was heading back from the Barstow Outlets and bam...all dash lights came out...stranded on freeway....diagnosis...bad alternator not chargin battery

its what happens when your voltage is really low....mostly due to the battery dying from not being charged by the alternator....

When i was NA my car used to shut off on me every now and then when i would coast to a stop, never had an alternator issue though. I would push in the clutch and all the lights would light up and it would be off. It never bothered me, just kinda shocking.
