Bought this new from EBAY and had planned to use it on my J35 swap. However, NVA-AV6 did not recommend I use it as it is hard to find a good placement for the sending unit on a J30A1 or J series.
It is electrical and it is FULL sweep. I have 2 of the COBALT gauges in my car now and they are really nice. They have a blue gauge light, easy to read. Even though my gauges are not hooked into the dimmer, the blue light is not overpowering at all.
**Please note, this is for the gauge itself. You will need a sending unit and harness to complete the gauge set up.
