Update:

Bypassing the issue of no VTEC by manually feeding the information through a VTEC Controller and then they are going to tune the car for me. The mechanic says that with the controller he'll be able to wire it off the swap harness and give me back VTEC.

Decided against the VTEC controller and now chipping the car in order to tune the car at 4000RPM VTEC kick in / along with other things. I'll update in a couple of days with everything gets going and within the week all my parts should start rolling in.

Some parts have been shipped

Big changes will be happening

The MSD RPM switch should be here any day now. After all is done I'm going to be able to control when vtec engages at what rpm from inside the cockpit. It'll be good for on and off the track. 3K on track 5k daily driving for better gas mileage

Started getting some stuff in the mail.

My NRG seat, steering wheel, seat brackets, harness, and windo visors call came in today from Andysautosport.com. I am still waiting on my sparco steering wheel hub and harness bar. Andy better cough up those 2 parts.

The way my car sits now is I have an external MSD RPM switch which is able to engage full VTEC through out different RPM chips that are plug and play. It is really cool. I can run VTEC at 5200 to maximize gas mileage, however I run a 4000 chip for right now. VTEC is a beast with this chip and it unleashes a lot more power, however I am running into an issue still with my VTEC not engaging at times which leads me and the mechanic to believe that it is somethign with my VTEC seloniod screen being dirty or maybe a bad pressure switch. I am going to clean the screen probably on Thursday. I have VTEC under normal driving however after 2 or 3 WOTs she starts fuel cutting and then gos into limp mode. The mechanic I found is a huge performance guru and used to build and road race Hondas so he is going to be helping trouble shoot everything. It's still a tad frustrating though that my car is still having issues.

He has a really old school Subaru Van in his garage. Also he was working on a blue NSX that was drop dead gorgeous

I'm calling Andy today in order to talk with him about the 2 parts that were missing from my order. I'm hoping that these 2 items were not held in his store since they were sparco and cipher and that he had to order them from the vendors.

Vtec works sporadically still. Going to check out and clean the VTEC solenoid on the car. At this point I wish I had boughten another car with the insurance money, but live and learn.

You talk of some blue NSX and don't produce pics.....:poke:

Sorry to hear about these issues, Matt, but hopefully everthing comes together as it should.

Seems like you have a sound mechanic to help you with things, so that should make the process less frustrating.
