okay so i ran into the mall today for like 25-30 min came back out and my car wouldnt start. managed to get a guy to jump me off and i let it sit and run for like 10 min then drove home no prob. i get home turn it off then immediately go to turn it back on and nothing. i jumped it again and played with it this time turning on the ac and the lights and things and when i turn the lights on the engine sounds like i just turned on the ac. so i let it run for 15-20 min turned it off went to turn it on same thing. the gauges all kinda flicker and stuff when trying to crank but it wont start. my guess is alternator. am i right?

Chances are lol check your voltage on the battery after running for a bit without heavy electrical load. Should stay above 13v? If your lights are dimming out then I think that's a pretty sure sign. How old is the battery?

autozone battery checks and recharge are a rip off.. i took numerous batteries for myself and family members to them and they always say there bad and i need a new one. Took my yellow top optima battery there and they said i need a new one too and cant b charged ... i didnt want to replace my optima so i bought a battery charger and recharged it and its been working strong!! think its a selling scheme at autozone
