so i got a letter today from a law office telling me someone had taken legal action against Andy's Autosport.
"the people of the state of california contended that Andy's Autosport violated california law and engaged in deceptive practices in connection with the sale of auto parts and accessories based on the imposistion on some customers of improper cancellation and restocking fees on merchandise that was not delivered within thirty days of payment, or wrong or nonconforming merchandise was delivered, or when the merchandise was delivered after the customer had canceled the order."
so basically, they were advertising and selling products that they didnt have in stock, and couldnt get. then they charged a restocking fee on the item that you had ordered but then canceled after not receiving, so basically screwing you out of your money for something they never had to begin with.
this letter was also accompanied by a check for $30 for my "restocking fee" that i was charged after i canceled my order of the product i had ordered, and never got. my order was from 2005. this notice that i was mailed states that it is effective for orders placed between january 4, 2004 and january 14, 2007.
so if any of you guys that have been shystered, by andy's autosport, and paid a restocking fee on a product you never received after waiting a while for it, you should get one of these letters containing a check for your falsely imposed restocking fee....even tho this thread is posted after the listed dates.
