The bike frame/components are all in good shape, it's just new rims that I would need.

I would be more than willing to swap out the axles(I got a dual quick release set up done), so I would like to keep that once I got new rims, and until I can get a new bike.

We live pretty close to an escarpment, so it would be great to be able to head up there and get some riding done.

58cm would probably a lil big for you, but like Eric mentioned before, companies uses different geometries to measure your frame. If you are 5'8", I would really look more into 52cm or 56cm at the most. I'm 5'7" and riding 50cm. It fits me, but I wanna try 52cm to see if it'll fits me better.

There isn't much you can do to make it lower.

Eric, was wondering if you can pick up CAAD9 5 frame for a good price? I feel like 50cm is a lil small for me and I wanna go 52cm

If I can get it for good price, it might be worth the upgrade. (or not?)

Also thinking of upgrading to Mavic Ksyrium Elite from Shimano R-540

I couldn't personally. Both stores we have in our area do not deal with Cannondale. I have not really dealt with them much minus one time when we were trying to find the original owner of a bike and they didnt' have any serial numbers in their system and seemed disorganized.

More than likely a 58cm would be HUGE for you, but hard to tell without you riding the bike. I am 5'11 and I ride a 56cm Trek and could probably ride a 54cm comfortably also since I have longer legs than torso.

Finally bit the bullet and got a jersey and some paints. I just never wanted to be that guy fully geared up but this heat is killing me

Alright thanks for the heads up guys. Found a really good deal on a new road bike but guess i won't waste my time driving over there and try it out. I think i'm gonna go to the local bike shop to try out different sizes to see which fits me. Looking for something that when i come to a stop and put both feet down, the frame doesn't hit my package.

Ok, so, I guess it's time to start a "Member's Other Ride/Bike Thread"! :lawl:

This is cool though, and is really inspiring me to get back in it before the winter hits.

Guess this would make a roof rack more legit on my car now! :coffee:

Would like to see pics of everyone's 'rides' as well!
