I has a flat. I popped off my rear tire and realized that i had shredded my Maxxis Crossmark in the rock section that also screwed up my wrist when I wrecked. Thank goodness for tubeless goo sealing it up. Time to invest in some new rubber, unfortunately 29'er tires are expensive :(

Any one have suggestions for narrow 700c snow tires? My steamroller can take up to 38mm wide tires, but apparently not with my fenders. I know this because I own 700x38 knobbies, and they don't clear.

Even with my 700x23 slicks my fenders get quickly packed with snow. So knobbies might just make this worse.

There are apparently zero studded tires narrower than 35mm. As for 35mm widths, it looks like the Nokian Hakkapeliitta W106 is the sh*t. I can get these at my LBS. and they're reasonable (for Nokians).

But I'd appreciate anyone's experience with non-studded CX tires (the Michelin Mud 2 seems popular, and is 700x30).

I personally do not have any experience with any winter season tires. I also looked around for some studded tires under 700x35 to for fun. (With my SRAM Rival brakes I can barely run 700x25)

SOOOO thinking about getting a new stem/h-bar for my bike. Finally got around to doing the Fit Kit and figuring out what I need. But I can not decide on the stem I want. I think I found a Thomson Stem I am set on, but h-bar is really hard to narrow down. Any opinions?
