^your not worried about your ballast getting too hot from where you put them, especially being that close to the 55w bulb?

no, that is where the OEM Ballast are located. they actually seal that whole opening. that is why i had to use the lexan.

i have the 55W slim DDM balast powering 85122+ bulbs for my tsx retros with the DDM wire harness too. i plan on buying another 35W kit for my hella micro de fogs when i get them.

be aware though, their customer service is sub-par and you'll probably end up waiting a while to get your kit because of how "busy" they are. they never respond to emails from me, takes like 6 tries to get them to pick up the phone. hopefully they'll get their act straightened up by the time i buy the second kit.

i know this thread is kinda old but i got a HUGE question! is there a noticable difference between a 35w and a 55w? does the 55w blind other drivers? (which i'm trying to avoid). i bought a DDM 5000k 35w for my sister and the light output is NICE!

55w is extremely bright and I would not recommend it at any costs, ESPECIALLY in OEM housings. 55w would be the equivalent of driving with your high beams on. 35w is about 10x brighter than halogen (correct me if I'm wrong), so 35w is what most of us have and that's the best alternative IMO

Yes, as I stated previously, it's like driving with super high beams...if that makes any sense to you lol

haha yeah it does. I have a tsx retro in my car right now, but am probably going to sell them and go with ion blue headlights instead and wanted something bright.

What should I do? 55w 6k or 55w 8k? I was leaning more towards 8k because i like the bluish tint and plus itll look like 6k since the 55w kits wash out some of the color.
