Auto parking shifter help !!!

Does anybody know how to remove safety thing that makes you press your brake before your able to change from park to drive or from neutral to reverse in an automatic ? I know u can jam a flathead into the thing on the top left of the auto shifter , but can I leave a piece of metal there ?

Just so I could install a manual shift knob and eliminating the need for me to press the button down

Go on Amazon and look up the SickSpeed Auto push down adapter. That'll retain your safety feature and give you a manual shift knob option.
