Auto transmission starting to slip!!!

I noticed everytime i brake at a stop sign..then hit gas theres a HIT(if i step on the gas to move quickly theres a bigger hit and if i step on it slowly theres nothing) on the trany depending on how much gas i give..and a few days ago i was braking on a down hill at a red light and while i was braking i noticed the gears skiping..then the light turned green and my car did int move(only the rpm was reving) until i put it on nutral then drive again... should i change the trany fluid? or i shouldint cause the trany is about to die??

what do you guys think?

Damn, everyweek there is a new automatic transmission failure. Id bet a 94 buick has a better automatic tranny.

You need to replace your clutch packs, not your tranny fluid.

^Good guess. My mom's '95 Olds Cutlass Ciera S (same as a Buick Century) has had no tranny problems and it's got around 150k on it. Granted everything else on it besides the motor is junk, but...

oh my...so many lately. your transmission is about to be shot. start saving for a new tranny or sell the car. being stranded with a shot transmission blows...scary as hell when your in traffic. been there..

No the d4 is on but I noticed about a year ago the light wasn't on at all for a couple of weeks

how much do these transmissions cost to replace?

I ditched my TL due to tranny problems..there was no way i was gonna take 5k for a replacement lol

Mines is still running strong but i will ditch it if i know i'm gonna go through the same headache.
