Hey Everyone,
Been away from the forums for a while. As some of you may know I recently totaled my accord. The ridiculous thing is that I did not put a single scratch on the body when I did so.
It was around 8pm at night and I was driving home from school. I entered the long on ramp that leads towards my house and climbed to the top to reach a speed of roughly 70mph. As looked over my shoulder to make sure the road was clear and started to move left there was an enormous THUD. This happened at the exact moment where I had only turned my head 1/2 way forward... it scared the **** out of me.
My car Jerked upward violently and everything that wasn't bolted down inside the cabin, including my rear view mirror, exploded into the air. Next thing I know, there is white smoke pouring out from underneath my car with such intensity that I couldn't see out the rear window.
The car is now shaking and knocking super loud so I kill the motor and cruise to the shoulder after passing under a bridge.
Get out of the car and realize that I'm pretty close to the edge of the fwy so I push it back diagonally and expose a huge puddle of oil. There is at least 2-3 quarts of freshly changed mobile 1 laying on the ground. Pop the hood and there is oil all over the bay. Look behind the car and the rear bumper is also covered in oil.
At this time my car is too low to look underneath to see what exactly happened. All I can tell is that there is something jammed under my motor and there is a large hole in my lip where the object entered.
I call AAA and A funny, high as ****, tow truck driver shows up. He jacks up my car and pulls this object out from my oil pan.
The culprit... A wheel chock from a semi truck that had fallen onto the freeway.
The damage as visible from being jacked up in front of my house.
The damage view-able from a lift.
So, insurance came and checked out the car. Since the engine was clearly gone, sub frame was twist, and other stuff was damaged. Insurance decided to total the car. We were given $6000 for the car and bought it back for $2200. All $3800 was put into it and after replacing the sub frame, tie rods, and adding polyurethane sub frame bushings. This beauty was dropped in.
Motor:

The swap was done at my friend's (S13@fullBoost) shop in Newbury Park.
