^Tyler, have you tried driving your car with the A/C on yet? I have to give mine a bit more gas in that instance, lol.
I live in Alabama... my A/C is always on. :ownedrun:
That is just the effect from having more torque at idle than the F23. (and probably a little more inertia from higher mass of the larger rotating assembly and maybe a heavy(ier) flywheel, or it could be as simple as having a higher idle too) That just means it takes more resistance to bog down the engine and kill it than is necessary in a smaller engine.
Yeah that makes sense... his car does have a 3.2l V6 in it, vs my little f23. :lawl:

Thank you guys for all the info! It's nice to have people like you guys on here, to be able to ask a question then have the information flood gates open up on you. haha
Thanks again. :)

i had a exedy stage 1 and burned it out in 6 months!
I have a h23vtec with good torque but that clutch
wasnt cutting it. I have a xtd stage 3 6 puck with a
sprung hub. And a 12 pound competition flywheel, i
broke it in good and been dumping the clutch daily
and haven't had any problem's. Can recommend this
forshure. 215$ for everything picked up from aimco!

That's odd considering 6-puck clutch discs generally don't require break-in. I ran an XTD at one point. Don't recall exactly how that one ended, but that likely means I wasn't impressed with its performance.

I was told every clutch should be broken in so it can be heat treated and be stronger. I have had this clutch for 1 yr and a half and haven't had any problems. It never slips..maybe you didn't break in ur xtd clutch and that's why you had problems. I also heard the stage 1 & 2 Xtd clutch kits aren't that great. Ive only ran this one and an exedy stage 1 so i know there's better out there. But when this goes out im gonna piece something together! Im gonna boost or all motor this big boy moter! So need a really good clutch.

All of my clutch failures (with the exception of one OE clutch that wore out) have been due to either the disc springs becoming dislodged or the disc actually separating from the hub altogether. I believe the XTD was subject to the former. But I have also heard the same about their stage 1 & 2 models. I don't recall which model this was. Regardless, I doubt they have a 100% failure rate. Glad yours is working out for you.

I just put in the ACT extreme clutch kit with performance disc last week.cluch pedal is stiff as all get out now.

I had a SPEC stage3 before and it was worst POS ever.

Also have the ACT 12lb flywheel.
