Anyone have any good pointers for adjusting brake freeplay? Currently my pedal goes halfway down before the brakes engage and I just put brand new discs and pads plus fluid and bled the system, now I just need a stiffer pedal.
Searched the forum to no avail, haynes manual doesn't have it either.

You can adjust the pedal free play by pre loading the master cylinder and compensating for the extra length by adjusting the brake switch.

Attach a hose to the bleeder into a jar of brake fluid, pump it till no more air bubbles, alternating from front corner to rear corner and continuing over and over until no more air bubbles. While topping up the fluid reservoir.

Matty do a pressure bleed. You'll need a second person. I ordered your Discs, when they come in Monday you can call me when you change them. I need to put my rears on before Calabogie.

The brakes were the same even before changing them and bleeding the lines, I think they probably just need to be adjusted. Steve and I did the drain already, I was pumping the brakes and he would shut the lines when all the air was out

try pumping the brakes like 10 times...then while holding down the pedal loosen the bleeder screw letting around 6" worth of fluid flow...

repeat this until no air is in the system....basically...you don't want to ever have the pedal go from fully compressed to not while the bleeder is open unless you are just pumping to flush it all out...

if the pedal felt good before then you shouldn't have to adjust the brake booster....if it's always been bad...then you need to probably do both....but bleed it correctly first just to make sure there is no air in the system...
