I changed my daughter's rear pads and rotors today on her '02 Accord sedan, we were hearing one of the wear indicators. This was my first time changing the brakes. Took off the driver's side first. Pretty amazed to see that there looked to be about 50% of the pad surface remaining compared to the new pads. Went ahead and took the passenger side off. Outer pad looked okay, about the same amount of wear as on the d/s, maybe a hint of uneven wear. The inner pad is where there's a problem. On the side where the wear indicator is, there is almost no pad remaining. It then slopes up to the other side of the pad, where the remaining pad thickness is about the same as the other three pads.
Could this be a problem with the caliper, or the caliper bracket? The slide pins on the bracket appeared to move freely.
