hahaha heres the low down after investiagation. Ya im an idiot that piece is at the end of my steering column! Its not breaks just had tow unrealated problems.

My car kept leaking power steering fluid like 4 hours of driving and id be super dry. I flushed the whole system by sticking the pump hose in a bottle of prestone stop leake fluid. Filled it up bled it and threw some stuff in it called power steering honey. The bottom seal on the pump was leaking very faintly thought that was the problem. Planned on buying a new seal kit and redoing the pump. After thinking about it there was way to much fluid leaking for it to be the acuall pump the seal isnt that bad. So thats where the major PS leak is. Now i havent been losing PS fluid at all since ive used the PS honey junk.

So what should i do about this problem just call it a day since stop leak seems to have worked? What is the acuall piece at the bottom of the column. Somone told me to replace my whole rack but i should be fine with just the stop leak stuff. Well im pretty meticlous and would like to fix the problem the PS honey was only a temp fix till i had time to put new seals in the pump.

So any advice, any problems this may be cause, i was told not to bother reparing it unless it gets bad again but i love my car so.... idk.

Buy a rack from Napa, probably under $200. Replace tie rod ends while you're in there. Get an alignment when you're done.

Buckle the steering wheel in and/or lock it while you have the column disconnected. Don't want to add a clockspring to your steering adventure.

That would be the most thorough repair I guess. That would be what I'd sell my customer.
