6 weeks ago I broke my left femur. I was coming down a curb from a yard and landed wrong, whole leg gave out. I flew forward and put my hands out, then when I flipped myself over my leg just flopped. A friend that was with me was asking what was wrong and he had his feet on either side of my ankle because i couldn't keep my leg from rolling left to right. Called my dad and we headed to a place we know. Over the weekend starting earlier that week i was having some knee pain and came out of a baseball game(which I never do), so they thought it was still that when I first got to the doctors, and we got an xray on my knee. Everytime getting on and off tables and in and out of cars I would almost pass out. Xray showed nothing because it was of my knee where they thought it would be, so I came back for an MRI, the pilot photo for the MRI showed the femur and I immediately went back to xray. That night I got in a hospital, surgery was the next day. They said I had had a stress fracture that kept building and stepping wrong was just the last straw. I got out of the hospital that wednesday and was off pain meds that thursday. Went back to school on Monday in a wheelchair and by the next week I was on all crutches. I've been in PT twice a week for 3 weeks now and do 2 sets of exercises every night, things are coming along. Already bending 115degrees and now allowed to use 1 crutch. This thursday I will hit my 120degree goal and be allowed to drive again, first time in 6 weeks
XRAYS:
Top xray is obviously the break, the little fragments around the bone are from a support thing i had around my leg at the time, bottom xray is after surgery with a 12" rod and 3 screws in.
