Broken headlight tabs

So looking to start my retrofit
DIY as I got a decent deal on a pair headlights in which some tabs are broken .currently my headlights are
eBay blackhoused ones that came with car.. Now has anyone used the housing base from aftermarket headlights on oem headlight lenses?

it'll fit. but not like OEM, get ready to use silicone to seal those things. aftermarket + OEM never match up perfectly.
