Buying another 6th gen!!!

If it's under the recall, perhaps you can get the tranny swapped by Honda, if not, I know getting parts to mod an Accord seem to be pretty easy in Montreal, from all the other Montrealer's I know on here/TAC, a 6spd swap should definately be something to consider if all else is good with the car.

Would highly recommend a THOROUGH inspection of it though. Price is a bit high as well, I would say closer to $3K than $4K.

I always had a hard time finding parts here for modding my other accord.

Really, I don't know, I always noticed guys from Montreal seem to have their Accords done up pretty nicely!

If the only problems were what he was telling you and everything else checked out ok, I would talk him down to closer to $3000, because of the potential tranny problem, especially, if you aren't able to get the tranny swapped through Honda.

His 98 has about 170K on it when you do the conversion, which is actually not too bad for an 11yr old car.

tht price is a lil too low for a car with tht mileage... there's def something wrong with the tranny or/and motor....

edit: buy mah 6ga sedan 5spd for $7k... motor swap and everything running good
