Theyre like 16 bucks at auto zone. If they tell you no, ask to speak to someone else or just go to a different one. In Miami there's one in every corner. The accord takes a lil time to do. I did my brothers 7th gen civic the other day, easiest thing in the world. Its well worth it. You might not feel much of a difference but its peace of mind your breathing fresh air. If it hasn't been changed in a while you'll be thanking yourself. Those air filters can get really nasty.

What you can do is pick up a Central Air unit filter( a good micro filter style) for about $8 and cut it to size. That is what I did and it works. You might even be able to get 4 cut to size filters from the right size Central Air unit filter - you know those big ole' 16x24x1 or 24x24x1.

I see it as an economical way to replace the filters. I don't know what material the $16 packs are made of. Are they paper element or fiber material in those $16 packs? Even if they are fiber material, I think it's still cheaper.


$16 Autozone filter = 1 time use
$8 C.U. NON-paper filter = 2 times use


....you could get 2 refills from 1 sheet of C.U. filter with the right size. That comes out to $4 a refill, maybe $5 or $6 depending on type of C.U. filter.
So that would mean you could be paying 4 times as much as you should. Does this sound hilarious?

i did mine when i got my accord, a couple months ago. def worth it, just took some time. I've never had to take so much apart just for 2 filters lol. anyways, mine were dirty as hell, and had leaves all in the air box. i vacuumed and wiped it out best i could and washed the trays the filters sit in before re-installing the new filters. def worth the piece of mind the fresher air i am breathing.

Of course. You could just wrap one filter with the dryer sheet, or maybe place it under the filter on one side. When you get in there, you'll figure out what you want to do...


what you might want to do is dont put the glove box and stuff back for a few days. Drive around and use the filter feature to see if that scent is going to be overpowering...if not, THEN put all that stuff back.

I don't even go to autozone anymore because most of the people that work there are idiots.
I got my filters from the dealer, and it was under 20 bucks for both of them. 18something I think. But I have a pic in my member's ride section that shows you how dirty the original one was. It was bad.
