Canon 70-200mm

What do you guys think? Its a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM telophoto lens. I've read good things about it from Ken Rockwell's site. Its not an IS though. Input please

Great lens, not great price, check www.adorama.com or www.bhphotovideo.com for better prices. Danny has this lens and he likes it, if you want any input, you should ask him.

whats the difference between import and USA? I ask b/c theres a price difference on bandhphoto.com

The imported ones can't be serviced at canon centers here. You'll have to send it overseas.

Stick to USA versions, and you'll be alright.

I've contemplated the 70-200 f4 (non-IS) but I think if I'm going to spend $600+ on a telephoto lens I might as well save up until I can afford one with IS. Because I have a 55-200 without IS and it really limits you as to what you can shoot handheld at full zoom. If your subject isn't more or less still it's hard to get a good shot without a tripod. I use mine on a tripod 99% of the time.
