So here it goes guys...I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX. When I bought the car, I only got one key and no remote to open/close doors..only one key...So I got an auto starter installed (just auto start and no alarm)...the alarm system is stock...but i got a remote which can open/close doors...here comes the problem....my car's alarm would go off randomly when i lock the doors, either with the remote or from the inside...when i close the doors the little blinker on driver's door sometimes does blink and sometimes does...i got my auto starter installed at BestBuy...they checked it and said their system doesn't mess up the stock alarm...anyone know what could be the problem before i go to the dealership and pay $$$$$ for this to get fixed...thanks guys...appreciate it

Hey man, I would go have a professional alarm shop look at it. If they can't figure it out, try to find a deal on an alarm system and get one installed. I'm not sure what else you can do...

I just put an alarm in my 99 last night. It sounds like the keyless entry on the remote starter is not diasarming the alarm. Check you wiring diagrams, but this should work. Connect both the unlock trigger and disarm wire from the factory alarm to the unlock lead of the lock wiring harness.

Here's the issue I'm having with my alarm: I can unlock the door with the key and the alarm won't go off. I have to figure that out this weekend.

Sounds like BestBuy messed up. Just simply explain to them, and nicely, that the problem wasn't there when you had it installed, and now it is magically there.
