I read. I just assumed he actually did get money for it and didn't say.

Only reason I assumed that is because no person in that situation in their right mind would just give away a car with thousands in it.

He said he was racking up debt...I'm thinking maybe the bill to the mechanic was growing, so he gave him the car as payment? But why does it all matter? It's his car, he's free to do with it as he pleases.

In an effort to not contradict yourselves, perhaps those of you who claim to not care what Matt does with his car(but yet you still tell him what he should do) should try one of the following:

1. Don't post in the thread
2. Stop contradicting yourselves by going through all the other options he could have done and then wrap up your post with "It's your car/Why should I care?"
3. Come to the understanding that people who donated to help him out, did so out of kindness, with no expectations.
4. Understand that unless you "walk a mile in someone's shoes", you will never know what it's like to be in their situation or understand their decisions.

Not really sure if any of you know if Matt is now "ballin' out of control" so he can afford to lose the money he invested in the car or not. Whether he is or isn't who cares? Hate to see him let go of a project, but it happens, many of us move on from the CG platform for one reason or another, so be it. This is just another example of someone doing the same thing.

I just don't think it's neceassary to come down on him for deciding he wants to switch it up once again. Many of us aren't in a position to do so, or choose not to do so, okay. Matt is, let's show him a little support. I am not asking for a pity party on his behalf, and I don't think he is either, the man changed his mind......still legal as far as I am aware.

sooooooo, if your best buddy decides to do something so stupid, u would be supportive of him regardless of the outcome?

if u were a true friend, u would knock some sense into him

This. That was my first instinct, especially because the car is worth a decent sum.

However, like Derek said, we don't know the circumstances or the financial situation that led Matt to this decision. I hope it works out in the end for the best.

Be Well Matt!
