@DarkSideAccord - Only drove it up and down the driveway, but it ran fine doing that. Revved the motor when it was sitting and it did not cough or struggle. I'll probably take it for a spin this weekend.
You MUST have the TDC/CKP sensor plugged in or the car won't run. You've covered the solder joints in the main relay, which would be my first guess. Next, I would take a good hard look at the TDC/CKP sensor connector and maybe de-pin it to check the terminals. I've had this connector and my VSS connector fail in the past. I re-pinned the wires with new terminals and the issue went away immediately. Good luck.
I am thinking to monitor everything to properly diagnose this issue.
How do I monitor TDC sensor? I would imagine it is sending pulses, maybe I can piggyback an LED and try not to load down the circuit. Anyone know a way i can monitor it with a meter or test light? What does the service manual say?
Anyone know a clever way to monitor spark without using a timing light? Im thinking about coiling a wire around each wire and have some kind of triggering circuit.
Will also put a LED to monitor proper voltage is reaching pump.
But will have to monitor by ear for pump operation, dont have a fuel pressure gauge to install.
I am starting to think it is my TDC sensors now. Just thought about it.
It was raining, I did not put proper gaskets, used liquid gasket to put a seal around timing belt covers. Maybe somehow sensors got wet, two days later it dries and starts right up.
Or its just a matter of time before my fuel pump heats up and fails or ignition heats up and fails.
UPDATE:
Checked dipstick and found oil to be at a very low level (just below the bottom dot). Stuck my hand on the bottom lip of the lower timing belt cover and there was OIL! Something is leaking!! Replaced my crank seal when I did the timing belt..but not the balance shaft seal or camshaft. Will crack it open sometime this week and see what it is. But at this moment it looks like the oil is what fouled up the TDC/CKP sensors. I'll have a better idea once i get it opened up.
Finally got some warmer weather and cracked it open. What did i find... TDC sensor just hanging there not in its position. I must have hand tightened it and forgot to fully tighten it. Luckily it was not damaged or ripped off. Put it back into place and TIGHTENED IT!
Also found that crank seal I installed was leaking pretty bad. Removed it and installed a Honda one. What I noticed was that the aftermarket one I used did not have grease on the inside lip like the Honda one does. I used some oil when installing the aftermarket one, but doesnt look like it worked.
Think ill be using genuine Honda parts on critical areas from now on. Lesson learned.
