So I'm not seeing very many cars without a light on. Usually, people 'hide' them behind a picture. Our car should just have the gauges change to red lighting!

Anyway, I am a pro, and I am bored. So any lights or noises making you annoyed? Post them here.

Number one step, know your codes! Don't say, 'my check-enginmabober light is on, and it sounds funny.' Do not. Get this,

I have had mine work ~2yr (each) doing thousands of cars. With my phone, very convenient ;)

I use the program 'Torque' for Android. I may need you to get data logs, this also does that.

I can also check on noises, make sure your CEL/MIL is on when you start it, then off. Very important. I have heard of several lots pulling lights to make them 'look' nice, so we're making sure it works.

warning: I do not have a manual, asking me 'what's x torque?' will not accomplish much, I provide information when I can, but am not a 'walking-talking-service-manual'

So...we'll see how this goes...

Just to verify, the code trader you linked from Ebay doesn't list any 6rh Gen Accords. If you still say that's the one to get then I will, just wanna make sure.

It should, I've gone through a few of them.
OBD2 is mostly the communication style, many can run different ONLY when connected to oem systems (or similar, that 'fake' it)

So be it. It's ordered. In my area Auto Zone has a kiosk with free usage of there code scanner and a print out of the codes and possible fixes. From what I hear a third party company is only running the pilot in that store.

Most stores only do codes, some also can do data.

Good luck to find someone that knows:
how
what #s mean

Not that it's hard to know, most just never graduated highschool.

I picked up this code reader from harbor freight some time ago. Its not blue tooth but its decent for $100. I've used it countless times on multiple vehicles. I recommend it. The software also can be updated via harbor freights website, haven't had an issue with it yet so no need to update to the newest version. Probably just adds more vehicle model support and bug fixes.

I've been happy with my ELM 327, and can report that I have no CELs, but I have been tolerating (ignoring) my SRS light for a while.

Every now and then I'll clear it, and will enjoy a few weeks or so with it off before it comes back on. I suppose I should have a dealer look at it.

Does SRS light kill itself?

Shows up if you lean over, 'occupant detection' thing.

No need to clear that, just stop leaning over!

Maybe I should have placed this in 'Urgent'...

oh well, still bored here, I got like a month left with no job so get 'em coming!

If it doesn't start up I might have to go through the DTC list...

Also, if I fail to get back to your post (or thread) promptly, message me, sometimes I mistakenly miss an update.

For qualifications, I am an ASE Master Technician, certified by Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Suzuki, and Volkswagen. I guess it's not often that you get people like me...(unless we have other technicians?)
