Ok so i hate posting in here but i think its warranted.

On the way home tonight my 02 SE threw a CEL.

Also noticed that if you try to accel, once you hit 4k the rpms bounce and it goes no higher.

Also it idles SLIGHTLY rougher...like at a stop....maybe 600? 650? I know that idle is like 8 or 900? idk...it usually hovers around 900-1000k.

So i jumped the OBD port and this is what i got-

Two long and then two short.....so 22?

Then it does 7 long.....then it goes back to two long to short...

So 22 and the 7 long is 7?

If thats correct ok...

i also noticed the D4 light blinks as well....so i counted those...

2 long...5 short

25?

So what is going on....

from the DIY on here ...its VTEC and the TPS?

So please all help is appreciated...i drive 110 miles a day for work in this car and i need it for tomorrow as well as the rest of the week....id LOVE to have this fixed by tomorrow at 1030am but not sure if thats going to happen....so at least provide some help so if my wife needs to take it in(and i get to use her 2009 CRV!!!!) she knows what to expect!!!

Thanks guys!

its the vtec solenoid. i forgot the cel code from when mine did this. but all i did was pop the hood. unplug the solenoid. blew out both side of the plug. plugged it back in. worked just fine.

search on here. theres like 10 different threads on this topic.

70 P1660 A/T FI Signal A Circuit Failure
70 P1705, P1706, P1738, P1739, P1753, P1758, P1768, P1773, P1785, P1786, P1790, P1791, P1792, P1793, P1794 A/T Concerns
70 P1870, P1873, P1879, P1885, P1886, P1888, P1890, P1891 A/T Concerns

And 22 - 22 P1257, P1258, P1259 VTEC System Malfunction

I'd agree vtec solenoid, prob with the oil pressure, screen being dirty or something.

The other being 70, if it is 70, is something with the trans.

A blinking D4 light most chances will mean something is off with the transmission. check its fluid level, change if necessary(DO NOT flush, just drain and refill)
