What are some cheap or free mods.

Cheap being under $20 or so.

Example:
Blackhousing
Removing intake resonator

free: taking the back seats out, taking the trunk lining out, taking the spare tire and tools out, taking all your speakers out
effect: less weight

under 20: painting your dash/trim kit, buying an oil cap, buying some seat belt shoulder pads, buying some stickers
effect: MAD TYTE JDM YO!!!

Some TYTE *** BLUE headlights lol

nah dude go get some silverstars, blackout your headlights, buy some neon windshield sprayers lol (im not serious, dont do it.) tire flies? lol no. Ii'd just black out your headlights, dress up the engine bay with wire floom, spend some money on some nice wax and get her cleaned up nicely ;) Other then that, I dont see anything worth 20 bucks..

So Cal
cheap performance mods?
cheap visual mods?

off the top of my head:
visual:
diy blackhousings
shaved emblems
paint rims, calipers, valvecover etc

Performance wise:
intake resonator removal: free
intake filter + stock intake $free - $30?
diy grounding kit:

theres not much cheap mods for u 2 buy, DIY is the best way if u wanna go cheap. just dont go crazy with cheap things, cuz u get wut u pay for.

Can't go wrong with window visors!

not a fan of the visors, but that's just me.

not mentioned so far:
ebay intake
ebay short shift adapter
cut down shift knob

with the intake you'll want to replace the filter with a k&n (~$40), so maybe
just remove the resonator to start.

i have a cheap short shifter adapter and i cut my shaft down 2". i also have
a pspec knob, but even with the oem knob/boot i like the throws MUCH better
after the mods. it's a little stiff, but very short throws. when shifting quickly
it feels very solid/crisp. without the mods it's super long and mushy feeling.

pointless (but cheap/easy) mod:
vtec indicator light (only if you're curious when it's engaging.

btw, this is a good idea for a thread.

another good one:
thorough wash/wax, clean engine bay, detail interior

your car will look/feel new when you're done.

Remove your badges, leave the H emblem unless you're actually going to fill in the holes.
