Then add in a headgasket, new timing belt, etc. Should give you around 11.1 or higher compression with all OEM parts. If the links go bad just search Ebay for the descriptions.

What if we take everything you listed and add:

Stage 2 Bisimoto Cam
Port and Polish
Multi-angle valve job

What kind of numbers are we looking at??

Over 200whp and very similar torque..

Pirate made 200whp and 183wtq with a stock F22 DOHC head. If we PnP ours, I'm sure it would flow better than the stock F22, despite our SOHC handicap.

200whp is easily attainable with High compression, an aggressive cam, and a great tune of course.

Ok...so all the parts, plus the cam turns around 1k plus right??? how about the port and polish and labor??? what are the pros and cons between this setup and a h22??? how about the tranny? should i swap it?
.....
I rather stay n/a than turbo so this setup might work for me eventually but since I have lil' knowledge about the main structure of engine I wanna know a lil more about this idea....

I also read that agressive cams can mess you engine....is that true?

You can find a cheap F23a4 too, the only thing differences are the intake mani, a smidge lower compression, and the catalytic converter I believe. The ECU might be a tad different too. But honestly, its 2 hp and 2ft lbs..nothing you can feel or worry about; plus after different pistons, a header, full exhaust and tuned, those problems are all solved.

It'd be nice if someone hurried up and installed thier cam and hit a dyno. Then we'd have somewhat of a base for others to improve on and look at. Guestimate...10whp? Port and Polish jobs vary...if you're going N/A you dont want to hog them out too much cuz then you lose velocity. A good cleaning up of the casting, blending the ports, matching the ports on IN and EX side would be good enough.

Well my plan is to do a ground-up rebuild. I'm gonna get the extra motor and go to work taking it apart. The only thing is I have to find a reputable machine shop in my area that can bore the block and pnp the head.

Do you think that as long as I'm going to do all this I should go with a H23 IM and TB??

Anyway, regardless it's going to be a while before it's stuck on a dyno. I want to do it all right, I'll also be swapping in the H22 tranny for the shorter gears.

So when all is said and done I'll be swapping in a built NA F23A, and I'll be doing a 5 speed swap at the same time.
