If I'm not mistaken, the S-Techs are not a progressive spring, which may be the cause of a harsher ride. But, please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

i think eibach pro-kits is the only 'safe' springs for stock oem shocks/struts. because the spring is a mild drop so it's not a dramatic change.

i heard from one of my friend that it takes around 6-8 hours to install his springs into his 6th gen coupe. but then, my other friend who has a 5th gen sedan, took him 2 hours. so i guess it depends on the person. i recommend having a friend help you out when you install it. or ask one of your friends who is experience in suspension stuff to install it for you. i heard it's pretty easy. it's just the spring compressing is the hardest part and taking off the bolts. that's about it. i'm not sure how much they charge you at the shop but for alignment, it cost around $50-$60 for an alignment.

It took me like 3 hours maybe. Most time is invested compressing the spring, i had a compressor that was hard to deal with. I did a 5th gen in 30 min in auto shop with an "automatic" spring compressor and a lift.

Yeah you will def need a friend to help...when i helped one of my friends intall his omnis it took about 5 hours because we ran into some problems..but when we installed my sportlines it took i think 3 hours with putting on rear camber kit...hardest part is getting them out i think..without a compressor

if i can't find a compressor to rent, wouldn't it be pretty easy to make with home depot parts?

seems fairly cheap/easy to make. just have to ensure it's actually strong enough to hold the spring in compression, cause if it slips out it could be dangerous.

Installing them who knows...the shop that installed my prokit charged 100...

then i got my car aligned and camber fixed with the sportlines for 60

You can rent spring compressors from AutoZone for 40 dollars on the top plus tax, then when you return them you get your money back.

i probably should wait until summer when i have more money anyways
