Funny thing is, the votes don't really mirror what people say :lawl:

I think I said before, I pretty much already know what I'm doing. Just like feedback/reinforcement.

Hmmm So for awhile I've been preparing to buy my FF coilovers from Ken ... Starting to seriously think I shouldn't ... I've been talking to a few local people about my car setup and everytime I say I'm getting FF coilovers they give me that strange look and say they never heard of them. (makes me second guess them) I've spoken to a few ppl Subi, RSX, accord owners etc nd they've kept telling me to get tein, Ksport, D2, BC, AMR. ... Def not getting AMR $1.5K and a 2 month waiting period:mad: ... Was seriously thinking of going with some BC coilovers but after hearing what Matt and the new dude had to say I'm thinking I need to do some more research before buying my setup. I started cutting corners with my swap and it ended up costing me. dont want it to happen again. Subi owner also told me he'd rather have the best and not need it then need the best and not have it. Going by those words now. ..... Anyone care to shine some light on the ones I mentioned??

If you ask me, function and form still makes quality stuff. At least the coilovers for our cars is.

I think it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Are trying to slam as cheap as possible, or are you going to the track a lot and need all performance. I'm looking to go pretty low, I guess you would call it slammed, but I also want a little bit of ride quality for daily driving and the handling for some tracking and spirited driving. If I keep the car long enough I'll be building a boosted G23 monster, but thats another discussion. From reading in multiple places, the three choices I listed will all deliver, pros/cons as well as price are what is going to ultimately make my decision.

Function and Form are hit or miss just like all the other Taiwanese coilovers. like D2, FF, Ksport, megan etc. They all have about the same quality and most lack research and development. These coilvers are cheaper and the only real difference is valving. Most of the lower end coilover companies all source the same parts from the same warehouses and slap a sticker on them. The parts are cheap therefore the coil overs are cheaply priced.

There is a ton of decent and really nice coilovers out there but if you aren't paying then you ain't playing. I researched quite a bit and I know that very nice coilovers can run upwards to 3 to 5 thousand or even more like Motons which are 7500 dollars .. not including race specific coilovers like Motons. The higher end coilovers will be mentioned a lot less through searching "coilover" on Google searches due to the fact that there aren't 100,000 honda and nissan fanboys running them because most people nowadays want to be slammed and hellaflush for cheap.

Brands like GC are affordable and they have a lot of the market for entry level racing. GC paired with Koni have a huge R&D and reliability background for the price you pay. Tien is another great entry level coilover with road racing.

Club and other racing on the other hand use other products.
Eibach race coilovers, KW, JRZ etc. L2R , Zeal A lot of coilovers for track use are built for each race car and tuned / corner balanced.

This is helpful

So with Daily Driving it seems like Function and Forms have a lot of following, but like I have said before I wish I had gone with GC and koni to begin with. However the newer Function and Form type 2s and 2.5s are susposedly made a lot better with different springs and shocks.. idk, don't really care because my next setup will not be randomly picked from a reviews of other people for which all they care about is slamming their ride. You really don't see someone stating "bro, can I slam my car bro with GC/ Konis bro... especially not compared to the amount of function and form people saying that is a ton more compared to gc. GC's mean business, Taiwanese coilovers mean daily.

But, buy at your own risk.
