Tuning is the one thing you dont cheap out on...

As for the turbo it is going to be highly in efficent on your motor, if you do the proper calculations on hp rating, target psi, etc you will see that with that turbo the compressor map wont even have your needs on it..

Will it work, yes.
Will it be efficent and be optimum for you car, no.
thx dude
good luck with the build, i could go on and say some negative things you realy need to do research more and that turbo is gonna run super hot due to its size and that i hope you have a friend helping you install all of this since i forsee a how does this fit thread....

but i am just gonna say good luck

ill do more research thx again

for real though you need to do alot more research and get the hole FMU plan out of your head. ya its cheap, but it won't be cheap when you have to replace your engine when something goes wrong. you said yourself your sacrificing reliability, power and other things. what more do you need to know about why its bad?

yeah man i still got more research to do. the fmu just seems easy lol instead of relying on and driving to a tuner. But ill keep researching options. I want to get atleast forged pistons like yourself to make good power and for sure have a new ecu like an aem. cant wait to see your dyno numbers dude. you have stock rods right?

nothing wrong with the FMU..its just very oldschool way of fuel management from my understanding..its not the most efficient and holds power back but gets the job done for 180$ i think i spent on the missing link and FMU..but everyone does what they want with there car.Iv just been super late putting my EMS iv had for over 2 years in.ha
any updates?
good luck

trust me its not worth it. if your going to spend the money to turbo your car do it right and spend the money on at least a chipped ecu with crome or uberdata or something like that. and ya I'm on stock rods.

fmu only adjusts fuel not ignition. your going to be really limited with power if the only thing you can do is add fuel. ya it gets the job done, but why spend a bunch of money to continue driving a slow car.

yea true..2000$+ for almost 100whp gain.ha but i can keep my same setup just put in my AEM EMS and precison 440cc and see prolly 250 or so if i up the boost to 8 or 9psi.
but well see what my new setup will make in a few months. I might make my new turbo build thread to add onto the 4 going on now..haha
