Bring it to hardware store and match up the proper bolts respective of other holes, then you will get right bolt for f*cked up hole. Then you buy proper tap for it..EASY.

that will be fun!:roy:
anyway, does anyone know the threading size for the garrett turbo bolts? one of my bolts and bolt hole got f-ed up..

i want to buy a tap and die for them

just take one of the good studs to the hardware store and have them figure out the right thread with a thread pitch gauge.

Re: Chorilored's Turbo Progress 56k gtfo

Does anyone on here have a in-cabin fuel pressure gauge installed? If so, from what ive searched the best way to tap into it is the banjo bolt right? if it is, whats the threading size on it and will a tee be good for it? thx:boink:

That turbo is way to small, and your running an FMU its going to peg your Fuel pressure to over 100psi(in case your gauge doesnt read that high).

Even if its small will i still be able to use it? that just means it wont produce that much airflow right? so will a lower rise fuel pressure gain suffice?

The diaphragm in an FMU works off of pressure, not air volume. And don't go FMU, get it tuned and do it right

I want to, but for now with stock internals and low boost it seems like too much $, maybe until I at least get forged pistons or really convinced to do it.
I got the deal about how the FMU sux. it just seems cheap and doable
Lets say for example a car with 200whp with an FMU and the same car with 200whp, but with a tune. im assuming the car with the tune will obviously have more potential and be more durable and less forced to make the same power. With an FMU: reliability, potential, adjustment and power are sacrificed right...also risking fuel injectors. Im curious, what else besides that makes an fmu setup bad?

Tuning is the one thing you dont cheap out on...

As for the turbo it is going to be highly in efficent on your motor, if you do the proper calculations on hp rating, target psi, etc you will see that with that turbo the compressor map wont even have your needs on it..

Will it work, yes.
Will it be efficent and be optimum for you car, no.

but i am just gonna say good luck
