I've done some searching, but I can't seem to come to any conclusive answers. Are the CL-S axles a direct swap for the Accord V6 axles? I need new ones (getting noticeable vibration upon acceleration) , and the OEM Acura ones are cheaper. Is there any difference between the two?

Also, does it matter if you go OEM or aftermarket for axles? Is there any kind of drop in quality?

Yes they are a direct fit. I have them in my car. They are a bit thicker in the shaft than the Accord ones. Of course its always preferable for OEM ones, but I swap in aftermarket ones because of the large price difference (and availability). I also choose to swap in aftermarket ones because I used to go through them routinely with drag racing..

Would this be all I need, Numbers 4 and 5? It comes with everything I assume. Any other seals or anything needed?

Yup, just did this myself. #4 and#5 are complete axle assemblies. You should also replace the axle seals, castle nuts, castle nut pins, and axle nuts. And you may need to rent a ball joint separator.

The other difference with CL axles is they have harmonic balancers.

Cool. was looking into this myself.

Over on V6P.net, we have an Acura vendor who may be able to get those even cheaper than the online dealer. I just checked his thread out to see if hes still doing it but...it's been a while since anyone posted. Try a part quote and see if he still does that for us. I have used him before 2 times, and he can get those parts at a good rate.

Read the stickys for the correct format...then let us know if he quoted your axles.
