You can swap using your existing motor.

Thanks, I think I want to get around to this, but now it seems it may be bad wiring with the vtec or something?

I can drive the car normally but when I get up to around 60 mph and try to accelerate quickly the car stutters and it sounds like the engine is just reving and not engaging. It also happens if I accelerate hard from 0 it starts at about 20.

Anyone have this problem or know if the vtec could be causing my problem?

VTEC works at lower speeds as well, so if you're not having problems until 60, I'd say it's something else. Unless you're not engaging it until 60...which I doubt. But engagement is dependent on RPM, not speed. So yeah, I'm gonna say it's something else.

edit: on second thought.. is the issue getting worse by the day? could be a clogged catalytic convertor too..

No if I rev going from 0 to 20 even it does it so its related to RPM's I can get passed 60 if I just ease it up, it happens when RPM's are high. I was driving with a mechanic and he said the vtec was messed up so we switched out the solenoid and switch but the error is still occurring and he suggested it could be wiring or a fuse does that sound plausible?

There is no 6MT swap available for I4 Accords, but a 5MT swap is definitely possible. BadgerType did a write up on this.

As for the other things, search, search and search. There is an answer to every possible question you could have on this site.

I would recommend dropping the car first, and then going from there. You're going to want full coilovers.

yes there is... its called

k20/24 with 6spd... hahahahah...

expensive as heck though

Know I've been away for quite some time but I've done a bit of work on my car so if you can check it out and give opinions I would greatly appreciate it.
