Cost to rebuild transmission?

Yeah but how is their quality of work. IMO i'd rather pay someone more money to do the job right the first time. You usually get what you pay for, no one works for free in this life....

lol well i jus got a estimate on my transmission and installation they say they'll do it for 1,200. Hopefully its not a used transmission :ugh:

and jus the other day i couldn't reverse :bs2:

so i jus push my self out my friends driveway haha after 30 min of rest the reverse started workin again. :madrun:

i need to stop abusin my transmission lol

I abused the heck out of mine. Remember to inquire about your old transmission. Its auto right? well I got 125$ at a scrap yard for mine. Seems that there are some metals inside that are worth a little bit of money.

i can't find a scrap yard with a 6GA in there :squintrun:

i can only put the car in 2nd the only best gear out of the whole transmission haha

No bro, Im talking about making money off ur old tranny. Someone paid me 125$ to take it to their scrap yard. Its worth money. Most shops wont tell u this since they wanna make money off the tranny.

FYI: I charge $1500 min. To do a trans. Rebuild but for 6GA members I can do it for $1200 out the door.

I just recently took down my auto V6 tranny for rebuilding... Currently, it is still being worked on by a friend who is a seasoned honda mechanic and transmission specialist... only paying $350 for labour since i took it down and will put it back up myself.. 300 for the rebuild kit as well so right now I've spent $650 so far.
