Good news:
Legend ecu and NSX i have are a match. In a sort of lucky way the EU did not get OBD2 until late 2000 and 2002. And the 3.0 NSX did not get OBD2 like its USA version did in late 1994. Lucky as then i would have to repin everything. The plugs are the same but they are off on the later 1996 models. Same plug but dif. pin. and the OBD2 datalog even tough ecu plugs are OBD1.... Strange. Anyway have less to repin but still have to sort out and remake the wiring harness.

Know it is abit early but stated looking at how i will be able to fit A/C the altenator and PS pump as the NSX only has electrical PS. Still have not given up on the idea of a MR2 electic PS pump but just do not like the idea of having a switch to turn it on and the sound that it makes.

seems like an ok car to me. But 4 gears?? thats too old! Must be what 15-20 years old?
:eh:
what are you even talking about? lol every automatic 6th gen has 4 gears...
and he's the first one to be replacing it with an NSX motor with a 6spd, kinda blows any of our motors/swaps out of the water. he's only using electrical bits from the legend, sorry but you might wanna check up on your info or read more of the thread before commenting lol

Let´s resurrect this thread. After a long wait, money problems with having projects was finally able to hear the old J30a1 running for the last time on Saturday as i drove the CG to my winter garage.

Any way have been able to get a good two solid days of work done on the accord. Still a bit to do but hope to get the J30 out of the way by the end of this week and can start cleaning the engine bay and running clutch fluid lines and working on the new wiring. Might be to optimistic but if lucky then can test fit the C30a3 next week some time.

Here is what it looks like at the moment.

Engine is almost out. Just need to get the axles off and mounts off and can start lifting. Also the automatic transmission coolant lines need to be taken off.

Took the dash out to start work on the clutch pedal and shifter.

Finally got 3 pedals. Brake pedal will need to be cut into length. Also clutch pedal will need a support welded to the dash subframe.

Found out that i will need to find a older accord 98 and older shifter as the newer K engine ones that are plastic are to tall and will not fit under the console. So will have to take a trip to the local scrap yard.

And most of the parts that need to go on the car.

Also bought a USDM rear pumper that will go on after the new engine is on the CG.

Will need to order a starter and alternator as the J30 ones do not fit.

Will try to update again on the weekend.

Amm it was about 30 min of work. And 15 min of that was looking for a drill as i had lost it. I had a 40mm metal drill to cut the center hole and then the small bolt holes. The PITA part is getting the fluid lines bend as the master cylinder is right behind the suspension tower and you need really small hands to get to tighten the bolt on the fluid line there.

Yea I meant the entire clutch assy, and mine was worse because we swapped brake pedals too. Trimming it is easier lol.

Awesome progress! While the CL dash is off, mind as well replace the cabin air filter if it's dirty? (I didn't know until recently that ppl can catch a cold / get sick by having an old filter.)
