diff between front and rear disc's....

I am looking into getting new rotors all around and i realized that the rear are more expensive then the fronts.....but they are both 10.2" in diameter....can i use the front for the rears or what? whats the diff??

Fronts should be more expensive than the rears.

Fronts - vented
Rears - solid

Can't use front on rear or rear on front.

^that's exactly it. the front brakes provide more stopping power so more heat. that's why a bunch of cars come with front ventilated and rear solid.

You CAN get the rears vented as well, but with our cars, and stock internals, you aren't really generating enough heat on the rear discs to warrant high end vented rear brakes.

There are plenty of cheaper F/R vented setups available that work just fine, though.
