OK, first off, it's not doing anything for airflow. I don't know who tried telling you that. But please don't listen. Secondly, it looks like something is wrong, being moved over like that. It's not relocated to the corner of the bumper, it's just shoved over a little. That's like having your front emblem 3 inches to the left. You'd be like And it's not JDM. it's just.... not. lol.

So the way I see it...
Strike 1. Strike 2. Strike 3.

Lincense plate sare usually relocated to give better flow to the intercooler, like EVOs.

So it's usually moved to the corner, out of the center grill opening.

Seeing how it doesnt block airflow in the first place in either location, I would say it's futile, and definitely not JDM.

I think the DIY itself is pointless for the end result, but it was well thought out, the DIY was well written, and if the OP likes it, so be it.

It's not a true relocator, but it's nearly free.
