DIY: sunroof plug & intake heat shield

Is this for more of a ram air or a true CAI?
It's a heat shield for short air intake.

And I think you have it flipped the right way up. It will create a whirl wind on the opposite end on both sides
I do have it opening the way but for a differant reason.

I may just be picturing what I want to see. What I need is a damn splash shield to keep this rain water off mine. Had to remove my wheel wells to make room for my wide 18s. Dang dirty door jambs too!
You need one to go on the underside. this is for the top. I think you gave me an idea for another project. :hmm:

I bought some welding tools today. I just need to get the metal and welding rods. Then I can start fabrication.

I made a sunroof panel for my car. I used metal brackets from Home Depot/lowes and made the panel out of high grade scratch resistant tinted lexan.

For the seam you can seal it with silicone or use a rubber weather seal.

The route you are taking will require welding and paint, whereas my method does not.

I have removed 600 lbs from my car so far.
