Hey everyone. This is my first DIY. I put together a little video of this project that I did a few weeks ago.
Backstory: I picked up a 2000 EX four door for $2900 that was in pretty bad shape but had only 135000 miles on it. Really just had to rebuild the rear brakes because the ebrake was sticking and the car has just been dirty. Powerwashed the interior carpet and cleaned everything.
The trunk was unsavable on the other hand. Due to an accident and poor bodyshop job, water had leaked in and caused irreparable damage (mold, sagging) where I wouldnt be able to save it. After getting a quote for $400 and $250 aftermarket I looked at what I could do myself. I looked everywhere and was unable to find any DIYs on any car for how to do this. $20 at lowes later and I have a trunk mat that I think looks as good as new if not better since I used a higher quality carpet.
Before:
After:
The rest of the trunk is still filthy. I will be cleaning that up soon.
