^nice, always wondered what the history was behind those. And I would have had words with your retrofitter.

Yeah, I wasn't happy at all about that and some other issues after my last retrofit. I absolutely never instructed or hinted in any way that I wanted those lenses disposed of, I would have kept them for a later project or sold them for a nice chunk of change considering they were in mint condition.

That would make two sets of headlights that are not longer available.

I had a CF set that I stupidly sold, wish I never had.

Brad, sucks to hear, I would have liked to have seen your retro with the ION covers.

My old retro had the ion lenses, but then I switched things up and went for the quad-projector retrofit. At that time I felt I was better off with the TYC clear lenses as the ion lenses were pretty flashy. They look amazing, but I would have been pretty hesitant to drive around Tampa with them as the cops would have been on me like white on rice since they tend to look blue in the daylight.

By the way OP, I was wrong when I said it was autodynamic that sold those headlights. It was actually procarparts after looking through some of my pics:

lol, that would never work.

a blue housing with ion spray paint will never be able to replicate the lens as it switches over to a non-blue color, as it does here:
