I only run my AC when absolutely necessary (eg. Females in my car)

haha I saw that mythbusters too. except i believe they tested it on a suv of some kind and of course windows down won but to me having the a/c on didn't make much of a difference since a truck gets bad mileage anyway. in light of that, i wish they would have done it on a car.

i also only use it when my girlfriend is in the car, or if i'm going somewhere where i can't arrive all sweaty and panting.

EXACTLY, the only time I use mine is when I'm in a dire situation and really thirsty or sweaty. Or, when my wife is in the car, I actually hate the A/C and love the air circulation.

i remember using mine once last summer on a 45 minute drive cause a buddy was with me. otherwise, it's moonroof open and rear windows cracked on the highway or everything open in the city.

and yeah...once your fan setting is moved off 0 the a/c is on...theres no "sort of on"

Got to have A/C in the humid south in the summer. I toughed it out for a while when my prev vehicle's compressor died, but then I got tired of showing up at work covered in sweat and fixed it.

Ya i saw that also but they did it on a big truck i believe. I imagine every cars a lil but different. but ya thanks. I used to turn the air on but only have it halfway blue thinking i was saving sum gas....:eusa_doh:
idk, to me it seems like my car uses alot more gas with it on as opposed to 1-2 mpg.

Yea, we have this thing called humidity in the midwest and it sucks without air conditioning. I use it every day in the spring/summer.
