Got a 98 accord automatic, the wiring caught fire awhile back and I bought it from the dude who caught it on fire.

Well after changing the harness. The tranmission is having delayed engaging, slipping bad, and the guy who sold it to me drove it to my house. Says before the fire it was driving fine.

I spent yesterday pulling by a good trans. About to put it in. But I need to know if the tcm/ecu is bad, this is all for nothing. And is there a way to test it?

What steps do I need to follow in this situation to get this car running correctly?

A new pcm will have to be keyed to my car, don’t have access to funds. Borrowing an ecu isn’t possible. What do you guys think?

Put the trans in? Or try to work on testing it? Also no check engine light.

The main harness. Still kind dealing with it. Kinda tight on cash. Gonna try to flush the trans one more time. Swapped most the solenoids. No luck,
