EGR help

I just got a new CAT and EGR valve and cleaned the egr port out twice with carb cleaner but i am still showing a cel code p401.
i guess what i'm asking is what can i do to fully clean or unblock my egr port ?

I also want to know how long is a drive cycle and how many drive cycles do i need to complete before i get my emissions tested?

btw i did serch but it seems like this topic has not been fully explored.

yes i have cleared the code but it came back, the mechanic that replaced the parts said i would have to clean out the egr ports a few times to resolve the problem. I cleaned the ports with carb cleaner by removeing the egr valve and spraying the carb cleaner in the ports. the side that looks like it feeds into the fuel injectors had a lot of black carbon when sprayed. when i put the egr valve back on and started the car back up (took a few trys) the car shot out white smoke and the cel was off but after 18 miles the light came back on.

Try some seafoam. Search for it if you dont know what it is.

i'll try anything at this point
it was suggested to me that after i got the cel resolved i should change the oil because the cleaner would degrade my oil will i need to do the same with sea foam?

ok so i tried the seafoam deep creep, it wroked but i noticed a lot of white smoke afterwards is this normal? also how long before i can get my car emissions tested and pass ?
i live in georgia if that helps
