"joined to see what I can do to it other than ricing it out or doing something to it for looks that puts others at danger."

So you're worried about hondas being "riced out" or people doing "something to it for looks that puts others at danger," I think it's more dangerous to put a 17 year old kid behind the wheel of mom and dad's bought Subaru because that's clllearrly what he stated; Also claiming that he didn't want to follow what others were doing, meanwhile just getting off of a Subaru forum. You don't need a honda to rice out a car and you can do anything to any other type of car and put anyone at danger...

normally aspirated performance, don't care for body work as its all show and no go

allright, now i don't feel like doing this all night so i am going to some up how to buy an impreza, even a hard to find 2.5rs

take your accord and drive to work. drive back home in accord after a long day of work. do this until your sophmore year of college and you should have saved up 5k for a new car. give your car back to your parents, or sell it on CL for 2k. now buy yourself your car and start modding.

i can't blame ya kid, i wanted the same car and probably half the ppl i know wanted one as well. they are mean little machines that can be made to be very fast and i would still like to own one one day.

you don't have to love this car, but you have to understand that this is a car forum based on this car only. some of us have had this car for a decade. if you want to build this car up, then we can help, but i know i won't help someone who would rather spit on the car than care for it

welcome to 6GA. i hope you find this site helpfull, but in your case, don't mod it at all. save your money and buy your own car

wow i must say you sound very ungrateful, a car is not a sweater that you can just dismiss because you don't like it.
And i'm not sure if your aware but you have just offended almost every member here by saying you want your car (the cars we pour blood, sweat, and tears into) to die so you can beg your parents for a Subaru.

You claim that you are familiar with the Subaru community (a community that more often than not looks down on other cars because there car's are monetarily worth less) and you call HID lights and tinted tails rice. Hate to break it to you but subaru owners do the same thing. Rice is not specific to car maker.

You also stated you want to stand out and be different, and your first idea is to get an impreza one of the most popular and most owned imports (next to the civic). The members on this forum are the most unique you can find. We have taken cars that everyone has dismissed off as an old person car/family car and have taken these cars to both extremes. there are 6GA's that scrape the floor that have been featured by fatlace as well as track cars that have been is magazines because of thier awesome builds. the fact is that an accord is not the typical import to modify, but when the occurrence happens that you do "it" right it amazes people. To be asked "hey what is that" when showing up to a meet and announcing "its my 6th gen accord" it takes back the person as they realize right then and there the 6GA is worthy to stand toe to toe with any other car in the import scene.

you young man have a lot to learn, i suggest you take the time and open your eyes and not be so blinded by what a bunch of honda hating stuck up subaru owners have taught you. A car can be what ever you want, you just have to be able to see the car's true potential before you dismiss it as unworthy.

BTW welcome :coffee:

agreed! this kid needs to appreciate what he has gotten.

like I said as time goes on I might appreciate it. Reason I don't right now is because I got it very unexpectedly when I woke up in the morning. and after he was going to get me a 2008 civic, a imported celica, or a 2008 Impreza. And the 200k factor really just says something to me. Also its the fact that we already have a v6 6th gen with only 70k on it and he won't even give me that one

be like it is
know what i was driving from 16-18 then 19-21?

3 speed auto, 92hp...brother crashed it when he was 17 so one front fender was ****ed, then like a year and a half later got (basically) rear ended while parked by a van with hand controls that got stuck and became a salvage title. i junked it at 106k, got the accord with 125k.

exactly like that, but not a v6. i must be a damn fool for having bought this accord at 21...hell the acclaim was my parents. the 6th gen is my first car.

youre lucky you got a semi-stylish car. my dad got a beater from the neighbor and he "downgraded" cars, from the acclaim to this (but a hatchback)...

that could have been my first car.

god forbid i ever have kids, he/she will be driving whatever i approve of and they can afford.
