Have you seafoamed your car before? Maybe that would be the 2nd solution to getting rid of the high idle?

Any updates? I have the same problem. Because the idle is so high I know I have a vacuum leak and IACV may be causing fluctuation, maybe even cooling system. I've cleaned the IACV by removing it from the manifold and spraying it...and spraying it....and spraying it. Then watched lots of black stuff come out, then repeat, till all I got was clear. Reinstalled w/ old gasket (not a good idea). Same problem w/ fluctuation and high idle. I'm going to bleed the cooling system next and chase down this stupid vacuum leak. Good luck on your end, plz update.

---Sept2. Just got some time to **** w. it. Bled cooling system// Cleaned iacv again and made sure the valve moved smoothly throughout the range, but most importantly leak was coming from cruise control vacuum tank or engine mount solenoid. Capped it @ the manifold cuz I'm lazy. Idle is good/ fast idle good/fluctuation gone. I'm back to liking my car again. Whats going on w/ yours?

Well i cleaned the IACV until i got clear liquid coming out. I put it back on the car and still idles high. Havent bled the cooling system i probably have a vacuum leak or a bad IACV. I say this because when i disconnect the plug from the IACV the idle goes down but still flucuates a lil. So still a lil lost about the whole situation. When i get a chance ill try to flush the coolin system. But been busy well see hopefully ill get around it soon.

Idle air control valve. Its happened to me about 3 times already after swaps motors that have been sitting for a long time or sometimes it just goes bad and gets stuck. Take the valve off its right behind the intake manifold and clean it out real good with degreaser and put it back on. Your problem should be solved and if not just go to your local junkyard and buy another iacv it'll cost u like 20 bucks.
