For sound, just buy a cheapo intake from ebay and slap on a K&N filter. Don't go and spend 100+ on a name brand intake. You'll waste your money.

Even with intake/header/exhaust it won't make a big difference on your car. As others have said, our stock air system is very restrictive as is. Most people think getting the biggest intake/exhaust will help our cars which is not true. To be honest, with our restrictive air flow on our cars, it would be best to just do mods to ensure that the car is receiving as much cold air as possible. Personally, if you were to get an intake I would recommend getting the Taspro Hybrid Intake from www.tasauto.com. They're currently out of stock but they should be restocking. In my opinion, it gets the best of both worlds as you use aftermarket tubing for smoother piping and the stock air box. It gets a response of a SRI but sucks in the air like a CAI without the risk of hydrolock.

If he increases the size of the throttle body, wouldn't you have to port and polish the intake manifold in order to utilize all the air? I remember reading on some TSX forum that they port and polished their TB and IM and the stock ECU went haywire and couldn't idle properly unless it was tuned due to all that extra air flow.

eBay intake + k&n filter = $70 bucks. Still not bad though...

Its all about how much volume of air and fuel u can get in the cumbustion process, thats it. Its not gonna hapen with a bigger throttle body, its not gonna happen with just a ported and polishd TB.

Its gonna happen with a high volume head larger valves, race camshaft and high compression pistons provided u can dump enough fuel there otherwise ur wasting ur time.
