Exhaust question.

Yeah, Matt's car is the reason I found this forum actually. I know a few people with magnaflow and I think it just sounds better.

I decided I'm going to go with the Magna cat. I haven't purchased it yet, still waiting on a little more money to come in.

Bump my own thread. I ended up getting a custom 2.5in pipe from the cat back to a Magnaflow race muffler. I cut the exhaust at the back axle because I'm getting some Isis blast pipes. The drone is really bad. Debating between the vibrant racing bottle resonator or ultra quiet resonator. Not sure which one would be better thought. These are the ones.

I have both the 12 and 18 on my v6 and I love it! Super deep magnaflow exhaust with no high way drone at all. I had the n1 mufflers at first but the droning drove me crazy lol so swapped to magnaflow. I have a sound clip on my members ride too if you want to check it out. I would match the diameter just because lol I don't think it matters but I think it would be easier to weld if the size is the same

I'm just talking about resonator wise. I'm not running a muffler. Trying to kill the drone. Only thing about the ultra quiet one is the diameter. It's almost 7 inches. Not sure that will fit under my car.

Oh to reduce drone get the ultra quiet. If you're not lowered I don't think that should be an issue. The shop should be able to weld it in somewhere. The bottles are not to suppress sound and I know from experience. The bottles help get rid of rasp. The volume of the bottle styles are small so wont help th droning. Ultra quiet with the diameter of 7 inches has more volume to suppress more sound. But to be 100% sure you could talk to the shop and they could take a look and tell you if it will clear

It's definitely wouldn't fit. I scrape things daily and I'm almost tucking 18s in the front. I went with the Magnaflow 10416 round muffler and I'm going to use it as the resonator
