I'm not shure what to do... it's an idea in the early stages. :p but I think it would be fun to do a little ways down the road after I complete sumthings..

I want to either
A) get an 01-02 coupe bumper with a 98-00 oem lip, foglights behind the garnishes and custom fit euro r headlights into it

B) get a 98-00 coupe bumper with a type r grille insert, oem lip, sir-t fogs, and euro r headlights

C) or just like B except have a mugen or type r lip

what do you guys think? am I stupid? or do you think I'd be kinda kool? I really like the aggressiveness of the euro r headlights but I dont wanna do a frontend conversion, I wanna do sumthin a little different. plus I dig the fact that the headlights come with HIDs

euro headlights seem a bit flashy...if you can make em subtle or just dont listen to me and do your own thing, then it will be awesome.

bumper conversion however, just get the one with the removable grill and be done, this way youll have options

well its funny you should mention that because euro r headlights REQUIRE a front end swap, including welding in the radiator support bracket of the overseas car and chopping/modding your fenders to fit the lights. check out the links glassjaw posted. the 5th gens (front what i gather) are more of a direct swap.

closest you can get with doing minimal work is painting the inside of the lenses orange.

I've seen just the headlights custom fitted into the bumper... I asked the guy and he said he cut his fenders and the hood a little that the bumper fit it but dude was rockin a mugen CL7 front bumper/body kit knock off... he said it wasnt really bad but I do know it requires time n money which is why it's prolly going to be one of the last things I do... I just wanna do sumthing different... and it's not soo much that I'm being lazy n trying to get away without swappin on the front end.. which would be kool but I wanna do sumthing different.. know what I mean? thanx for the input though

also 98-00 coupe bumper is different than the 98-00 sedan bumper in the ways like it looks a little different you can get an oem lip for it and the grill is removable... I dunno how else to explain it really just check a few photos and you'll be able to tell.

but I like the feed back so far.. thanx guys.. keep it coming and thanx glassjaw for helpin out A whole lot with research you've found n stuff! I really appriciate it

He cut his fenders and the hood? Yikes. Even if that was pulled off successfully, the way theEuroR headlight mounts is different and as Ryan mentioned, the radiator support has to be relocated. This is a lot of custom work and you would be better off swapping the clip instead of modding your current to fit a set of headlights. Even if you're really good, there will still be flaws, especially when it comes to cutting the hood, refinishing the edges, etc.

Not trying to rain on your parade though, I admire the tenacity. I guess I would just think it through a little more. You'd still be very different swapping the clip.

instead of asking people... y don't u think first what u want out of ur car...

how u want it to look... cuz people are different and ur car should reflect ur personality...

you might see me converting my front end to a euro r, the whole coupe bumper swap is becoming a bit too common
